Shift Delete Not Working

If I double click on a form to get the drop down menu of previous entries, hover over the one I wish to delete, press shift+delete, it is supposed to be removed.

Windows 10: Shift for selecting multiple Files not working. If I want to let's say select 10 Files in Windows File Manager and click on the first one, press Shift and click on the last one. (I used this method since windows 3.1) Windows 10 ignores Shift and the click selects the last file and no other file is highlighted any more.

This question seems to be related to the behaviour of keys combinations, but you don't give an application in which you perform these keys combo.
